Call Delhi from Japan: Dialing Steps

Follow this dialing procedure to make an overseas international call from Japan to a landline or mobile phone number in Delhi, India.

1. If needed, dial MYLINE carrier access code

A carrier-specific access code may be used or is required in some cases. See MYLINE / MYLINEPLUS details below

2. Dial Japan int'l access code / IDD:  010

Note that some mobile operators may not require an IDD and/or allow use of substitute characters (such as '+') in lieu of an IDD.

3. Dial India country code:  91 

4. Remove '0' if one precedes your number

If your Delhi destination phone number starts with a '0' - e.g., 011 45481800 or 094 45 123456, delete the '0'.

5. Determine if calling to a landline or mobile phone

a. Dial the 2-digit Delhi area code:  11
